Where Do We Fish?

I fish Lake Wateree, Wateree River, Congaree River, and the Santee River Systems. This covers Lake Wateree thru Lake Marion, and Lake Moultrie (better known as Santee-Cooper) in South Carolina. The rivers and lakes hold some of the best fishing in the world.

Not everybody knows how to navigate these rivers because of the rocks and fast water. I have been running these rivers by boat since age 14. It takes a lot of skill, time, and patience to run these rivers successfully.  As a result, these waters don't get fished hard.

What About The Details?

Conditions are always changing, so we like to custom design your trip to bring you the best outdoor experience. Once reservations are made and your binder has been received, Captain Darryl will provide information. The checklist contains the following information:

·         Area Lodging

·         Area Restaurants

·         Area Entertainment

·         Fishing/hunting license requirements

·         A map detailing where to meet

·         When to meet

·         Any additional items you may need to bring

What Do You Need To Bring?

·         Everyone 16 years old and older will have to have a SC fishing license. Residents Licenses are $10.00 US dollars. Non Residents License is $11.00 US dollars for a 7 day permit.

·         Rain suit or poncho

·         Cold weather clothes during winter or cool seasons.

·         Hat, sunglasses, and sunblock (Please do not bring continuous spray sunblocks. The wind blows it all over the boat and into my bait tank, contaminating my bait.)

·         Food and drink for the day, because we will be too far away from any stores

·         If you choose to keep fish you will need to bring a 150-quart cooler (or enough coolers to equal 150 quarts to transport your fish).

If you want to use your own equipment, please let me know! Big fish demand tuff equipment!

What Will Darryl Bring?

  • Catfishing: I will supply boat, boating equipment, safety equipment, rods, reels, bait, tackle, and a cooler for fish if you choose to take fish home.
  • Fishing cleaning. There are fish cleaning service available but are not part of my company. These are at and extra price between you and cleaners.
