2011 has been one of my best years EVER! We broke and set 2 more World Record making it 22 Confirmed World Records. We caught more fish from 20 to 80 lbs than any year ever in my life. I learn more and more each year. We caught fish all threw the year. Day Fishing or if we were Night Fishing, we had a Blast! Our Best trip in 2011 we boated 703 lbs a catfish. I am looking so forward to 2012 to see what it brings. If 2012 is even a shadow of 2011 it will leave me breathless. So come on fishing, the water is fine!

Retired Sergeant Burgen, known as Captain, caught this 33 lb catfish and a 14 lb catfish today Feb. 2, 2012,  Him and his friends are Card carrying  NAFFF  Club members- a good day!

Winter Fishing is GREAT! Want to catch a monster catfish? Come on!

I am a Coast Guard Licensed Captain, Pro Angler, and Pro Guide offering Catfishing Trips for all ages throughout the year on Lake Marion, Lake Moultrie, Congaree River, Wateree River, and the Santee River here in South Carolina. These waters are better known as the Santee Cooper Lakes. I am a FULL TIME GUIDE since 2000 where we average being on the water 300+ days a year. I am the Only person who has boated 4 Catfish over 90 lbs to 100.5 lbs here at Santee Cooper. Now yes we do catch smaller catfish as well. Most days we will average 200+ lbs of fish and up to my all time best day of 723 lbs. We catch primarily Blue Catfish, Flathead Catfish, Channel Catfish, and White Catfish here at Santee Cooper.

By changing and using different Fishing Methods and Styles of fishing threw the year, we have a tremendous success ratio. By moving with the migrating fish Weather it’s Winter Fishing at the first of the year, to Spring Time Shallow Water, to the Summer Time Day Or Night Fishing Trips, to the Fall thru early Winter Fishing; WE CATCH FISH YEAR ROUND.

With Each Seasons, and Style of fishing adds a New Experience making fishing Fast, & Furious, Exciting, & FUN for all ages. We offer Catfishing with a
100 POUNDS OF CATFISH A DAY GUARANTEE AT SANTEE. We have caught, weighed, and recorded and average of 45,000+ lbs of fish a year for 7 years. We also offer fishing trips for Bream, and Stripers here where they are known for their abundance, large size. Our waters do not freeze in the winter. This means that our fish stay active through out the year growing and growing.

I've been blessed in my adventures. We have 22 Confirmed World Records, and have caught a lot of exceptional big fish. We have World Records Ranging from: Blue Catfish 100.5 lbs, 96.4 lbs, and with a 90 lb Flathead Catfish and down to Youth World Records here at Santee Cooper. Our 96.4 lb World Record Blue Catfish was caught while filming the What a Catch! TV Show. Our World Records range from 10 World Records with kids 16 years old and younger to 11 records with adults up to over 100 lbs. See recent catches in our Photo Gallery .

We have been featured in 14 different TV Shows like; What a Catch,
O'Neill Outside Bob Redfern Outdoor Magazine, South Carolina Outdoors, and Extreme Adrenalin Adventures TV. These shows have helped launch our services around the world.

We have been in over a two hundred magazines like Field & Stream, South Carolina Game & Fish, and South Carolina Sportsman and more. A recent segment with Brad Faircloth's Carolinas Outdoors "Catfishing the Carolinas" article series focused primarily on fishing Santee Cooper with tips and tricks to help everyone catch a TROPHY CATFISH.

These publications have made our services into a World Class operation hosting people from Every State in the USA, and from 32 different countries.

We also offer some special fishing trips on Catawba River System. and Lake Wateree South Carolina for Striper, White Bass, White Perch, and 4 different species of catfish at the same time. So ask about these Seasonal Special trips.

These guide services I offer to anyone who wants to fish. This guide won’t promise the biggest fish in the world, but I will do my best to get you jerked out of the boat by a big fish! I will use my 40 years fishing experience to try and get you what you want.

My fishing is done with conventional rod & reel, bait, & tackle. With my guide services I provide boat, boating safety equipment, rods, reels, tackle, bait and cooler for fish. If you would like to bring your own equipment, let me know. For the big catfish it takes very heavy equipment.

We fish on a 30 foot long Crest II H. P. Pontoon Boat Powered by a Yamaha 250 H. P. 4-Stroke Motor with a 12-foot hard top. We have been green since 2000! We use cutting edge technology electronics, equipment, and high quality products by Crest Pontoon Boats, Yamaha Motors, Genesis Trailers , Shakespeare , Abu Garcia , Pflueger , Penn, Berkley PowerBait, Ugly Stick, Spider Wire, Fire Line, All Start Rods, Stren, Berkley, Trilene, Lowrance Electronic, Columbia Sportswear Company , Catawba Tackle and Marine Co.
