Tuesday Dec 2/08 Kathryn Maroun host of the International TV Show What A Catch fished with Capt. Darryl Smith filming a TV show. They fished for 1 hour and caught 7 fish on film. The largest is this 96.4 lb blue Catfish. It was all on film for the show while 2 SCDNR Biologist floated in a boat beside Capt. Darryl witnessing the strike, the fight and the landing.

They weighed the fish, measured and helped them release the fish unharmed on film. The fish was 54 inches long with a 41 inch girth. This 96.4 lb blue Catfish may be the largest catfish caught on film in the USA.
